tips for better connection

If you are you using streamyx, they will usually give you an Aztech modem for the newer subscriber. For the older subscriber, they may provide you with some weird modem with some weird brand name. So far, I have changed 3 modems. I have used an Aztech DSL 600EU modem before, which is

also provided by Streamyx. Than after that, due to the reason of me wanting to use a wireless modem, so I bought an Aztech DSL600EW modem which is an all in 1 modem with wireless and adsl. But soon, I felt that the Aztech modem wasn’t stable and the wireless strength wasn’t that good as well. Then, miracle happened; jess wanted a wireless modem, so I decided to sell her my old Aztech model. she agreed. During the Pikom Pc fair, I decided to invest in a new modem, this time; I bought a Linksys adsl modem. The model was WAG200G.It cost RM250 only and to my surprise, it was so easy to set up. It only took me and my buddy Hyder less than 10 minutes to set up compared to the current Aztech model. It was so stable compared to the other modems that I bought for him before. Even the wireless speed is faster and the rage is better compared to the Aztech model. For Hyder in the other hand, he bought a WRT 54G wireless access point with a router in it. Don’t let the phrase fool you, what does that mean is just a wireless router. What it does is just makes your house wireless. Hyder just needed 2 modems to make his whole house wireless, but when he used his previous Aztech modem, which is also the same model like mine, he needed at least 3 modems but it still couldn’t make his house fully wireless. So guys, if you need to buy a modem, buy a Linksys modem, the price is nearly the same with the Aztech one, it could even be cheaper as well.
